$638,000 lottery ticket sold at Santa Cruz Chevron

SANTA CRUZ >> One of the winners in Wednesday’s record $1.6 billion Powerball drawing bought a ticket worth $638,000 from the Extra Mile convenience store at Chevron’s gas station on the corner Ocean Street and Soquel Avenue.

The ticket, which matched 5 of 6 winning numbers, has yet to be claimed.

The Santa Cruz ticket is one of 4 sold in the San Francisco Bay Area that matched 5 of the numbers, minus the Powerball. The et were sold in Cloverdale, Santa Rosa and Vacaville. Each is worth $638,000.

The 62-year-old woman is a senior registered nurse at Park Avenue World Care and Wellness Center in Pomona, the spokesperson told ABC7.
