Sunday’s PM storms cause traffic hazards around Bay Area

Published Monday March 7

HALF MOON BAY, Calif. – -

Sun was a break from Saturday’s punishing storm, but the evening’s downpour created traffic hazards around the Bay Area.

The steady rains caused quite a few spots where water pooled, causing drivers to slow to a crawl.

Hwy 92 is closed in both directions just east of Half Moon Bay due to a chain of 5 big trees that fell and completely blocked the roadway. It is not known as to when the roadway will be reopened.

Drenched freeways and roads caused one of the biggest safety issues.
